Hey folks today I’m going to write about data science and what you need to know before entering into this field. So, whoever wants to enter into data science realm, he/she needs to know that the some points. All the point mentioned below may need add-on that you’ll find later when you start learning. That add-on are mainly sub-point of given points.
So lets start : –
Before putting all effort to learning code, algorithms and math, you need curiosity to know why, why we need this or that.
👉you need to ask question, to yourself – “Why”. That will ease your path to become a data scientist.
✅Hands-on, Projects , Concept always comes after “why”.
When you’ll find “why”, than start moving with some of the given points – you may find some more add-ons later on, but yeah here is the starter !😇
Below some point is explained, you’ll find these are the the basic and important point that full-fill all need while you are doing your project
1️⃣ Statistics, most of the time we neglect this when we were in high school, thinking that we don’t need, (I did the same😅) but trust me this is the most important one topic you are going to learn and use, so don’t skip.
You’ll find meanings of all the number which you’ll get from statistic, It will help to make better decision.
👉 Decoding the Descriptive Analysis [Mean , Median, Mode] , Hypothesis testing, Probability, Relationship Between Variables, Regression …
2️⃣Database knowledge – Huge amount of data generated virtually every minute, most industries employ database management software such MySQL or Cassandra to store and analyse data.
Good insight of the workings of the DBMS will surely help you.
3️⃣Coding skill – this is goes this way 🙌
“A good coder might not be a great data scientist, but a great data scientist is surely a good coder”
4️⃣Hands on Real Projects – invest your time building your own forte. it is all about practice.
5️⃣Communication Skills – Communication skills differentiate a great data scientist from a good data scientist. what your findings and that matter for the decision making , you have to express and explain the term.
“The ability to have your way with words will always come in handy when tackling unforeseen situations.”
6️⃣ Learn Big Data – Data scientists handle a humungous volume of segregated and non-segregated data on which computations often cannot be performed using a single machine. Most of them use big data software like Hadoop, MapReduce, or Spark to achieve distributed processing. So learn this as well.
Last but not the least.
